However, doing this to your credit cards or work ID tags is not recommended, unless you like having to explain to all cashiers that, yes, cards can be manually punched in. If I don't get my state ID renewed before the Real ID swap goes into effect, I'm certianly going to park my photo ID in my magnet collection for about a week before using it.
