If these laws had been in place and enforced when I was a teenager, I can't even begin to calculate how many hundreds of years I would owe the State. The real kicker, however, is this:
Under Georgia law, if Mr Wilson had engaged in sexual intercourse with the girl he would have only been charged with a misdemeanour and would have received a much lighter sentence.
In most of the world it's the 21st Century. In Georgia, apparently, it's the 15th.
A US man jailed for having consensual oral sex with a teenage girl has his sentence overturned.
