Ruling Allows Cell Phone Unlocking, but Telco Sues Anyway
Another example of what's become a modern business principle: just because you buy something doesn't mean you own it.
Tracfone, a prepaid-wireless provider, drops its legal challenge to a regulatory decision allowing Americans to unlock their cell phones and move them to other carriers. It has successfully sued cell phone unlockers anyway and it's making plenty of money.
