Pro-gun US Senate pick makes some NY pols unhappy

I must admit to being very surprised. Maybe these really are "new" Democrats, willing to chuck some of the positions that get them in trouble with the country at large, and really try governing with something like consensus.

We'll see.

AP - If Gov. David Paterson thought announcing his choice to replace Hillary Rodham Clinton in the U.S. Senate after nearly two months of deliberation would bring an end to the political strife, he was clearly mistaken.
