The Laptop is Back!

And apparently repaired, too. Pretty amazing - wonder how long it'll last. I do believe that I'll buy the policy from Best Buy again, if they'll count the three times it's been in already towards it's eventual replacement.

Curiously enough, it's not a bad machine, as Win98 laptops go. But this samn screen makes me crazy! Hopefully they've found a way to reseat the cable in such a fashion that it won't come loose anymore. But, of course, what I really wanted was an new Powerbook.

Also, found an interesting anomoly in Radio. The date changed today (obviously) and so did my calandar. If I go back to February by following the link there, everything looks fine. Until I want to go to March again (on my desktop, mind you). In which case the app won't let me, cause nothing's been posted in March yet. So I have to use the back button. I wonder if it works this way on the real site? We'll see, I suppose.

So you can expect to see a lot more rants, especially on religious issues, now that I have a comfortable chair to work in after my hours in the office. I really like my library - hafta post a picture of it sometime, somewhere.

Notes: If you put a <mailto:> link in the URL field your address will not be mangled: this could be a bad idea as your email address could be easily harvested by bots designed for SPAM. The comments field should now format correctly for line feeds and carriage returns: when you hit the 'Enter' or 'Return' keys in your comment it should break to a new line. The text should wrap cleanly. Please let me know if it doesn't. No HTML tags will pass through - entering links seems to be the main cause of comment SPAM. Also, please be sure that Javascript is enabled in your browser before attempting to post a writeback. Sorry for any inconvenience, but this really helps cut down on the amount of comment SPAM I have to deal with.
