Sweet Pea and I took a road trip this evening - to the Danville Senior Citizens Center, for a meeting of the Hendricks County Spinning Club. Needless to say, she was the hit of the day. Nobody can resist a sweet little lamb - well, except maybe us. But that's only because we own the truck she rode in, and she had to ride in the back seat.
She had to ride there due to Kris' new daytime gig as a courier. We have a cap on the good truck now, and the back end was filled up with the tools of her trade - dollies, straps and padding. We figured it would be easier to clean up whatever mess was made in the back of the cab (the seat folds up and out of the way) than to crawl up into the bed and try to wash it out before tomorrow, as I'm certain her courier customers wouldn't expect their cargo to be, well, shitty.
Unfortunately, we neglected to consider, as Kris pointed out, that it's supposed to be in the mid 90's again tomorrow. The wet vac got most of the stuff up, but with the humidity in the lower 80% range, it really didn't dry too well. There will be some really interesting odors in that vehicle by about noon or so.
Mercifully (for me), Kris is the one that gets to drive it all day. I think I'll dig around in the freezer tomorrow and see if we have any lamb chops. She'll be in the mood for'em by the time she gets home, no doubt!
