Missed a Day

Yesterday was the first "miss" in the blog this year, or at least the first time I'd not blogged when I was capable of doing so. But it was such a nice day - it almost seems as though spring has sprung early, although I know that not to be true. The temperature has been hovering around 60°, the wind has been reasonable and we've had no precipitation. That will change tomorrow, when thunderstorms are forecast, but until then I'm just enjoying it.

We worked around the farm yesterday, cleaning up a bit and recovering a bit from the past month. We went grocery shopping, and noted the huge increase in food prices over the past few months. In a sign of the times, I noticed that the grocery chain was now offering mortgages to go with your broccoli and Brussels sprouts. And here I thought the madness gripping the markets was subsiding...

But I couldn't miss today - it was six years ago today that I made my first blog post, to what was then known as the Raven Banner, and which Radio has never seen fit to take down, although for the sake of continuity I've carried it here. Six years. Happy Blogoversay to Me!

Notes: If you put a <mailto:> link in the URL field your address will not be mangled: this could be a bad idea as your email address could be easily harvested by bots designed for SPAM. The comments field should now format correctly for line feeds and carriage returns: when you hit the 'Enter' or 'Return' keys in your comment it should break to a new line. The text should wrap cleanly. Please let me know if it doesn't. No HTML tags will pass through - entering links seems to be the main cause of comment SPAM. Also, please be sure that Javascript is enabled in your browser before attempting to post a writeback. Sorry for any inconvenience, but this really helps cut down on the amount of comment SPAM I have to deal with.
