This Is It

This blog entry is about the only constructive thing I've done all day, except the required chores. Got up around 7, fed the lambs, let out the chickens, filled the stock tank, fed the goats and the llama a bit of sweet feed - Hammer begged some, too. Came back in, read the mail, read the news, went back up to my easy chair in the library and fell asleep.

Woke back up around noon, ate a couple of cookies, helped Kris feed the lambs, went back up to the library and slept until 4:30. Went to Lafayette for dinner (Olive Garden - something we hardly ever do anymore) and then browsed a bookstore. Just got back home and I'm ready to go back to bed!

I hardly ever do this - in fact, I really don't remember the last time I managed to sleep an entire day away and still go to bed that evening. The weather hasn't helped - mild in temperature but rainy and damp - perfect for sleeping. We've been going so hard for the past two months, that I just ran out of steam today - they say you can't make up on a sleep deficit, but I guess maybe I feel I oughta at least try. Goodnight ...

Notes: If you put a <mailto:> link in the URL field your address will not be mangled: this could be a bad idea as your email address could be easily harvested by bots designed for SPAM. The comments field should now format correctly for line feeds and carriage returns: when you hit the 'Enter' or 'Return' keys in your comment it should break to a new line. The text should wrap cleanly. Please let me know if it doesn't. No HTML tags will pass through - entering links seems to be the main cause of comment SPAM. Also, please be sure that Javascript is enabled in your browser before attempting to post a writeback. Sorry for any inconvenience, but this really helps cut down on the amount of comment SPAM I have to deal with.
