Nuts are just one of the more egregious examples: we get hysterical over lots of things these days ...

Measures to protect children with nut allergies are becoming increasingly absurd and hysterical, say experts.

BUT, peanut and shellfish allergies are usually very serious. They are, by far, the most likely to be fatal, and very fast acting. I, personally, have never seen a mild reaction to the two.

Sure, some people have a reaction to them but it is they who should should deal with the issue. It is not a problem for the rest of us and we should not be forced to deal with their problem. There are allergens in the environment. People can't, and shouldn't try, to de-allergenize the world. If that is even a word...
