I Was Tagged

Walter from Sugar Mountain Farm has tagged me: and indeed, it's an interesting blogging game to be played.

The basic idea is simple: go to the 23rd post in your blog and find the fifth sentence. That sentence is the object of the game. Whoever invented this must've been familiar with the Discordian Law of Fives - All Hail Eris! Rub-a-dub-dub!

My twenty third post was made on the 15th of February, 2003, and involved an email signature that I found interesting - a quote from Paul Butzi. The fifth sentence in that post (counting the headline, which is entered as a separate sentence) is a part of that quote, but stands alone quite nicely:

I see no proper reason why we should not use science to pursue goals set by faith.

It's always fun to browse the archives of your own blog, and since I believe I'm supposed to "tag" a few others, it would be interesting to see what Kathryn, James, Jason, Michael and Jan had as the fifth sentences of their 23rd posts. So they're it now!

Notes: If you put a <mailto:> link in the URL field your address will not be mangled: this could be a bad idea as your email address could be easily harvested by bots designed for SPAM. The comments field should now format correctly for line feeds and carriage returns: when you hit the 'Enter' or 'Return' keys in your comment it should break to a new line. The text should wrap cleanly. Please let me know if it doesn't. No HTML tags will pass through - entering links seems to be the main cause of comment SPAM. Also, please be sure that Javascript is enabled in your browser before attempting to post a writeback. Sorry for any inconvenience, but this really helps cut down on the amount of comment SPAM I have to deal with.
