This is the real face of our government's vaunted "consumer protection" efforts. Do I really need to comment further?

The Bush administration said Tuesday it will fight to keep meatpackers from testing all their animals for mad cow disease.

'Piggybacking' roils credit industry

Unbelievably creative. Unbelievably shady. It's real hard for me to feel anything resembling sorry for credit card and mortgage companies, but this really is beyond the pale.
