Bilking the Elderly, With a Corporate Assist

Nice guys. These folks should be held to the same level of responsibility as their "customer" - the actual con artists. Because frankly, a company selling a list of "Suffering Seniors" isn't too far removed from the con artist category in any event.

Large companies are selling vast databases of personal information to thieves, despite evidence their services are used for fraud.

Family arrested in girl's stoning death

Apparently "honor" killing in the Muslim world isn't confined to Muslims - this girl was Yazidi, about whom I had posted less than a month ago. And I suppose it goes to prove that assholiness isn't confined to one particular faith, or even to monotheist ones.

Authorities in northern Iraq have arrested four people in connection with the "honor killing" last month of a Kurdish teen -- a startling, morbid pummeling caught on a mobile phone video camera and broadcast around the world.
