Indiana schools enroll Linux

Much as I'm a fan of Linux and Unix like operating systems, I have to tell you that there's only one thing driving this experiment: money. Apple has priced themselves out of the educational market, and Microsoft hasn't stepped up with a reliable solution. Linspire was inspired to take this on: the domino effect in this kind of semi-closed market can be staggering.

Hundreds of thousands of Linux machines could eventually be used in Indiana schools, if a pilot project goes well.
