I was going to file this under 'Islamic Justice" but that's apparently an oxymoron, eh?

Twelve men held in connection with one of Pakistan's most notorious rape cases must be released , a court orders.

US animal tests positive for mad cow (Reuters)

Here we go again ...

Reuters - A U.S. animal has tested positive for mad cow disease and additional tests will have to be done at a British laboratory to confirm the results, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns said on Friday.

Police arrest killer cow

This came in from my news watcher as a "mad cow" story... not exactly what I had in mind!

Nigerian police have arrested a cow that killed a bus driver who was urinating on a highway, a police spokesman said Thursday.
The horned African cow, which was wandering stray in the Ojo district of Nigeria's biggest city Lagos, also injured several bystanders after killing the man.

Pope rejects condoms for Africa

Christianity is so wrapped up in the notion of "sex = sin" that ther're bound, ideologically, to stick with positions such as this. This time, however, the obsession may seriously impair their growth in the last place on earth with a growing Christian population.

Africa's Aids battle should be fought with abstinence not condoms, says the Pope in his first comments on the issue.
