Kansas looks at redefining science

Unable to slip religion into the classroom via "intelligent design" because it doesn't qualify as science, these boneheads are setting about to redefine the meaning of the word "science" as used in the educational institutions of their fair state.

I can't wait until these boneheads get a hold of 1 Kings 7:23:

He [Hiram] made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits high. It took a line of thirty cubits to measure around it.

It's obvious that God has ordained pi to be 3 - not three and a little bit, but just 3! This "irrational number" stuff has got to be a plot by evil secular humanists to subvert the minds of our youth to their decadent ways!

I wonder how long it'll take'em to redo all the math books in Kansas schools to reflect this bit of Biblical wisdom? I wonder how many graduates from an institution using such texts would be admitted to, say, MIT?

The Kansas school board's hearings on evolution were not limited to how the theory should be taught in public schools. The board is considering redefining science itself.

House Republicans elevate the level of public discourse. Again.

For once an article on Morons.Org is actually an understatement. Read this if you wish to seee how low the Congress has sunk into partisan bickering and denouncement - describing the actions of the majority as "puerile" doesn't really do it justice.

House Republicans, seeking image makeover, test-market "puerile."
