In a Reverse, Microsoft Says It Supports Gay Rights Bill

It's fun to be right! And I love this little aside at the end of the article:

Dr. Hutcherson, whose church offices are near Microsoft's headquarters, said earlier that he believed his boycott threat had persuaded Microsoft not to support the bill. He did not respond to messages left yesterday on his cellphone and at his office.

Faced with unrelenting criticism from employees and gay rights groups, Microsoft announced that it was once again in support of a gay rights bill in Washington state.

'Bra-llelujah!' Can flying be fun again?

The relevant quip:

About a hundred years ago, Lenin had a different take on this same phenomena: "The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them."

Some quick-thinking merchants are taking someone else's moment of misery and turning it into a business opportunity by creating a niche market for "security-friendly" clothing.
